St John Ambulance Victoria is a charity working for the Service of Humanity.
We strive to offer a reassuring presence in the Victorian community as we continue to maximise our Community Health Contribution including the following initiatives:
- First Aid in Schools
- Volunteers at community events, gatherings and during times of emergency - CRP Lab and the community defibrillator program
- Community Transport for people without access to safe and reliable transport
We receive limited government support and fund our initiatives through our training programs, product sales and philanthropic support from the community.
To sustain and grow our charitable work, we must continually evolve, expand, and innovate. This is why we are excited to partner with Jumbo Fundraising to develop St John Charity Lottery - a new lottery programme to boost our fundraising activities. By raising these funds, we will be able to make an even bigger impact in saving lives and service to our community.

More Volunteers in the community. Defibs and CPR training in the community
We help ensure Victorians who suffer out of hospital sudden cardiac arrest receive CPR and defibrillation. Survival rates reduce by 10% with every minute that passes if a defibrillator is not used. Our strategy is simple - more defibrillators in the community means more lives will be saved.
Increase First Aid knowledge and skills in the community
First Aid is a critical skill and should be a part of everyone's life. The more people in our community with First Aid knowledge, the more resilient we will be – and the more lives we can save!
